WPA ATTENDS NATIONAL PLANNING FORUM

4 October 2017

Last week, WPA attended the National Planning Forum’s workshop on the future of England’s planning system. DCLG Chief Planner Steve Quartermain and former Labour planning minister Nick Raynsford discussed ideas to reform and better resource planning departments, and how practitioners can help address national problems such as the housing crisis and climate change.

We encourage our members to engage with two live consultations on the future of planning: Town and Country Planning Association’s major review of the planning system (deadline is 31 October) and DCLG’s consultation on further measures in the Housing White Paper (deadline is 9 November).
