Craig McWilliam, Chief Executive of Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, was appointed as the new Chair of WPA yesterday following the Association’s Board meeting and AGM. Craig will be supported by two WPA Vice Chairs: Olivia Harris, Chief Executive of affordable housing charity Dolphin Living, and Paul Williams, incoming Chief Executive of Derwent London. At our AGM Reception following Craig’s appointment, 150 members and industry stakeholders attended to hear his first speech as Chair. He outlined the key priorities for the Association under his leadership and stated: “We must work with public sector leaders to establish a more open, honest and transparent conversation with the public about choices and trade-offs we face.” (Read Craig’s full speech here).
Also at the AGM Reception, Renato Benedetti from Benedetti Architects, provided guests with an overview of the planned renovation of the Grade II listed BAFTA headquarters where the reception was being held.
