The Power of Partnerships in Westminster

22 Oct 2024 to 22 Oct 2024
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

The power of partnerships between the public and private sectors was celebrated at our WPA evening reception, kindly hosted by the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Robert Rigby at Westminster City Council headquarters.

WPA Vice Chair James Raynor (Chief Executive, Grosvenor Property UK) spoke about the importance of the real estate sector in creating a more inclusive city, outlining the WPA’s £255,000 partnership with Young Westminster Foundation to help fund the Mastering My Future (MMF) employability scheme.

Guests also heard from Helen Mann (CEO at Young Westminster Foundation), and Carl Konadu BEM (CEO and Co-founder at 2-3 Degrees), who championed the importance of the MMF programme in providing inspirational experiences for young people in the local area. A graduate of the MMF initiative, Nida Zahar, closed the reception by speaking about the incredible support she has received through the programme and how it inspired her ambitions to pursue a career in the sector.
