On Tuesday 17 April nearly 200 members attended our AGM drinks reception to celebrate the association’s 30th anniversary. The AGM was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the association over the past year and to hear our vision and plans for the year ahead.
The event was hosted in the impressive surroundings of St Mark’s, a former church which has undergone extensive repair and restoration by Grosvenor.
James Cooksey, Chair of WPA and Director of Central London at The Crown Estate, welcomed members and outlined the association’s key activities for our 30th year anniversary. James also thanked Richard Loftus, WPA’s founding Chair, for his decades of service to the association and presented him with a commemorative blue plaque. This was followed by a speech by Craig McWilliam, WPA Vice Chair and CEO of Grosvenor UK & Ireland, in which he talked members through the impressive renovation of St Mark’s and the need for the industry to continue to contribute to the success of the West End.
The event marks the beginning of the association’s 30th anniversary year which will include a number of exceptional events to celebrate. A number of these are listed under the save the date section below so please keep your calendars clear!
